Team Dangerous Curves
The Bicycle Path is proud to support Team Dangerous Curves!
What is Team Dangerous Curves?
Well TDC consists of a variety of people, from different ethnicities, personalities, shapes, sizes and all with one thing in common. Each other! Team Dangerous Curves, also known as Curvas Peligrosas was the brainchild to Connie Rios, TDC’s team captain and was unofficially born in December of 2007. Connie and two of her best friends joined together to attend and ride in the 2008 MS150 bike ride. An interesting fact is that the MS coordinator was a little skeptical about the nature of our team and team name but was finally accepted and officially Team Dangerous Curves was then born in January of 2008. The original intent was an all woman’s team, however the idea of 150 miles on a bike didn’t give many of the ladies in Connie’s life a warm and fuzzy feeling. She then later opened it up to accepting men. Connie’s boss was the first male to register as a team member and is still part of the team. Slowly but confident, more riders started to register and the team began to develop as well as friendships. Connie was able to recruit many different types of individuals, ranging from her own spin instructors, to friends, family, and even strangers. Today TDC has 26 team members and is still hoping to grow in the future. With team member recruitment still active, our goal is to continue to grow as a team and as individuals.
Our part is to help out with rides, be at events, and all members receive a discount. We are excited to have this privilege to support and grow a club that not only is fun and exciting, but helps rasie money for the MS society.
